July 27 & 28, 2024

Victoria, B.C.

An ArtisTREE Festival experience...

ArtisTREE Festival will be woven through the lawns of Victoria's best kept ‘secret’ garden oasis. Guests will stroll through pockets of diverse artistic expression, with the opportunity to eat from delicious food trucks, feel creatively inspired, purchase unique wares from nearly 150 Makers and dance to some amazing musicians.

There will be areas with shade, areas with sun and offerings from as many arts as we can compile into this majestic setting. Government House, set in the heart of Rockland, is home for not only the heritage gardens, but an enclave of endangered Gary Oak Meadow ecosystem. Festival goers can wander through the manicured rose gardens, pond gardens and the natural Woodland as part of these spectacular grounds.

ArtisTREE Festival creates experiences of art, artistic lifestyle and nature that connect and inspire…

Artisans, Performance, Art, Food, Music and MAGIC

Artistans - Installations - Performance - Food

ArtisTREE Festival is a juried Artisan event offering a full array of craft mediums to admire, feast our senses, and shop from. Unique high calibre craftsmanship, art and design will be found at up to 150 handmade booths.

Artists "en plein air"  will be sprinkled here and there showcasing 2 dimensional art in action, while installation art displays will allow for a 3 dimensional experience. Performance artists will mingle through the festival over the weekend, and a children’s themed craft section will entertain the little ones.

Music

We are in the process of curating an eclectic mix of musical entertainment from grassroots to some exciting headliners. During the day we encourage festival goers to experience the full festival; shopping from the artisans, enjoying the music, eating great food, engaging with the art installations, walking the gardens and woodlands. In the evening we will have a headliner band to move and groove and dance together. There are no applications for music at this time, ArtisTREE is working with a professional company to bring you the best in music.

FOOD TRUCKS

ArtisTREE festival will host some of Victoria’s top foodie food trucks with an offering to please the pallet. The highlights will be diverse flavours with a focus on locally sourced ingredients. Enjoy your meal or treat on the beautiful lawns with friends, family and community

Who Does This Event Support?

Celebrating Creativity In A Heritage Oasis

ArtisTREE Festival will take place at Government House on the traditional territory of the Songhees and Esquimalt first nations, we acknowledges and thanks the Lək̓ʷəŋən People, for allowing us to live, work and play on their lands.

On these lands you will find majestic gardens that were originally designed in1911 by a landscape architect from Vancouver but are now tended by The Friends of Government House Gardens Society. This society is a non for profit volunteer base group that raises funds to ensure the continuation of interest and support of the grounds. You will also stroll through acres of woodlands filled with ancient Gary Oak trees designated a NatureCanada Naturehood site. Enjoy sculptures throughout the grounds including a magnificent 25-foot totem pole carved by Chief Tony Hunt. The house and tea house will be open during the festival.

We have recently won Business of the Year (1-10 Employees) from the Victoria Chamber of Commerce, and in 2022 was gifted the cover of Douglas Magazine when named one of the “10 to Watch” in Business, and all in just 2.5 years of collaborative efforts since joining forces in October 2020.

Market Collective is what happens when passion for supporting our local handmade community intertwine with the drive to create beautiful spaces and experiences by our multi faceted team including Cory Judge of Shi Studio, Vanessa Gaudet of Lady Dragon Glassworks and Katrina Dwulit, Founder of Esquimalt Farmers Market at the helm! The three of us are tenacious when it comes to supporting local + handmade, and after over a year of hosting smaller Markets and pulling from past experience we will be taking all of our contacts and know how to execute an epic event like no other on the South Island.
